Sheffield Music City and Tramlines was a phenomenal success, attracting thousands of visitors and showcasing Sheffield to the world.

It was an event that grabbed national headlines, showing the city's musical talent at its best. The entire city centre was buzzing with a wonderful atmosphere.

Right from the festival launch on Wednesday, to Reverend and the Makers' phenomenal climax on Devonshire Green, Sheffield has been the place to be for everyone.

The combination of the World Stage, Music Village, Kids Zone, Continental Market, the Wheel, and the main stage on Devonshire Green, meant that outdoors, the whole city centre was vibrant and bustling with happy people. The fantastic tramlines events in venues across the city meant that bars were brimming with festival-goers, and independent venues were happy with the turn out.

42 of Sheffield’s favourite brands were all out in force when the first Memo Market took place.

Memo Market was created by Creativesheffield and Lark PR as a celebration of Sheffield 'must-haves' - an eclectic mix of Sheffield fashion, food, art, music, life and style. The market, which took place on 23 and 24 July, saw Sheffield’s best independent brands all in one place for the first time ever. The market created a fantastic atmosphere on Devonshire Green piazza throughout the 2 days and truly promoted Sheffield's independent nature which differentiates our city from others in the UK as well as supporting local businesses.

The brands involved have had nothing but praise for the benefits of the market to their businesses and the city. Here's a small taster:

“What a great idea! It’s been amazing to be involved in a market with some fantastic independent shops and businesses Sheffield needs more events like this.”

The Sevenstone area has recently been transformed into an innovative, epicentre of creativity and rejuvenation in the form of the Sheffield Showcase - an exclusive and innovative project.

Sheffield Showcase is an outdoor gallery which aims to boost the look and feel of the area and increase footfall to benefit businesses that are still operating in the vicinity. The project will also provide opportunities for Sheffield's future retail talent to develop their skills within a genuine retail environment and showcase Sheffield's extensive creative ability – a trait for which our city is well renowned.

Sheffield artists, designers and retailers are being given a real opportunity to contribute towards the improvement of the city by showcasing their wares within the vacant window spaces.
