Organised by Business Link Yorkshire and Pro-Sheffield and supported by Creativesheffield and other partners, Retail Week is to showcase and support the region’s retail industry from fashion to food & drink.  It will bring together designers, retailers, hairdressers, entrepreneurs, professional services and business support organisations.

Be Inspired with... Wayne Hemingway MBE

Wednesday 9th September, 6.00pm-8.00pm, Q-Park Charles Street.

Wayne's presentation will be held at Sheffield’s Q-Park, Charles Street, which will be transformed into a design-themed venue with an array of entertainment including a fashion show, organised by Pro-Sheffield and catering provided by Nonna’s.

 

Retail Excellence Masterclass

Thursday 10th September, 11.00am-3.30pm, Sheffield United Football Club.

This masterclass is presented by a leading retail consultancy specialising in retail skills development and will give you the top tips and best practice advice to ensure that you have the best possible chance of success.

  

How to Get Free Publicity in the Media

Thursday 10th September, 6.00pm-8.30pm, The Source, Meadowhall.

This seminar, run in partnership with Kate Betts Media, will give you tips on how to use the local and regional media to promote your business - and all for free!

 

An Introduction to “Customer First”

Friday 11th September, 10.00am-12.00pm, The Source, Meadowhall.

This workshop introduces you to Putting the Customer First®, the National Standard for

Customer Services, explains the benefits to your organisation and to your customers, describing

the journey you will take from commitment to achievement of the standard.

Presented by Customer First specialists and concluding with the chance to

network over a light lunch.


The Story of Starbucks and the Lessons for Business

Monday 14th September, 6.30pm-8.30pm, Furnival Theatre, Sheffield Hallam University.

At this seminar Mark Hulley, Finance Director for Starbucks UK, will discuss the story and reasons behind the success of Starbucks and share his experience to provide lessons on how businesses can survive and thrive in the current economic climate.

 

Survive and Thrive in the Crunch - Top 10 Legal Tips

Tuesday 15th September, 9.30am-12.30pm,Nabarro LLP offices, Victoria Quays.

Aimed at SMEs in the retail sector this workshop will focus on the top 10 legal tips.  The Nabarro presenters are also joined by Douglas Kerr who has extensive experience in retail as Director of Finance, Property and Business Development at Halfords and Director of Planning and Development for Boots Retail International.

Breakfast will be provided. Please note that places are limited to 50.
