Solihull for Success
Delivered by Solihull Metropolitan Council, Solihull for Success is designed to accelerate the delivery of managed economic growth in Solihull by boosting businesses, investment and employment. As a result, the Solihull for Success website needed to become a platform and one stop for business support, investment and relocation support and access to information to find local jobs and training options. Alcium Software delivered a brand new website with dynamic and interactive functionality which integrates with Solihull’s existing Evolutive CRM system.
The new website is comprised of two areas - Business and Jobseekers. The business section of the website allows local employers to promote their business on the business directory; recruit locally and promote vacancies; win local work and post tender opportunities and grow their businesses with specialist support and advice.
All businesses operating in Solihull are eligible to be listed on the business directory by simply inputting their details via an integrated online registration form. Registered businesses can immediately access and engage with tenders and job opportunities listed on the site – either posting new or responding internally to existing ones. All registration data, tender and job opportunities entered into the public facing website are directly fed to Solihull’s Evolutive CRM system.
The business section also features an integrated online property search enabling businesses or individuals to search for commercial premises available in Solihull. The search is populated with live data pulled from Solihull’s Evolutive system. Individuals and businesses can register to access the full property search and elect to receive automatic and customised property alerts via email, or alternatively, view limited property details without need to register.
The Job seekers section of the website allows Solihull residents to search for jobs and apply online, register for support from an employment advisor and find out about local recruitment events and activities.
After initial online registration via a detailed form, job seekers can apply for jobs listed on the website. The thorough online process enables applicants to attach vacancy-specific CV’s and covering letters as part of a bespoke application. As all job seeker registration data such as job sector interest and qualification level are collected and recorded by Evolutive, the system gives Solihull the ability to ‘match’ job seekers with outstanding vacancies based on the criteria entered by both seeker and employer on Solihull’s website.
The functionality of Evolutive combined with the data collated from the website enables Solihull to automatically create and output bespoke reports and statistics in a variety of formats. As well as general overview reports on job outcomes and creation, Solihull have the ability to monitor and view the status of individual job seekers right from initial online application, to interview status and job offer.
As part of the comprehensive system, Solihull also have the standard and popular features of Evolutive to use at their disposal including the E-Newsletter module, Event Manager and Questionnaire module to enhance marketing activity. The new website is built on Web Pilot, our very own Content Management System to facilitate flexibility and simplified management of the website going forward.
